We are a very diverse group
Here is a short bio of a few of our members. The list is in alphabetical order by first name
Mike Buesseler, our lifetime honorary member, did incredible landscape canes and created innovative and unusual metallic techniques, which he shared with others openly and freely. He was a contributing author for Jewelry Crafts and Bead & Button. He taught a full-day class for us in September 1998. He has "retired" from polymer clay -- temporarily, we hope -- and is involved with creating music. You can see some of his fabulous creations at Polymer Clay Central's gallery.
Yvan Strong is the current webmistress. She first tried polymer clay over 30 years ago when she was given a package of Fimo. She sculped a minature bust and baked it at what was probably too high a temperature... the smell was too much! She didn't try it again until about 10 years ago. Now she continues to explore sculpture as well as faux effects, mokume gane, or any other technique in clay which can be adapted to jewelry or decorative items. She combines clay with beads and painting.
She has many other artistic interests including painting, drawing, knitting, crocheting, weaving, scrapbooking, calligraphy, sewing and designing things in all those media. She is also a musician and poet. To see what she's been up to visit her website: Art of the Spirit.
